Danielle Scarlett

Recreational Therapist

Danielle provides recreation therapy services to children, adolescents, and teens/young adults in English. Danielle’s area of practice includes Grief and bereavement, anxiety, self-esteem, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), social skills, emotional regulation, impulse control, Oppositional Defiance disorder (ODD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder (FASD), communication strategies, and behavior management. Danielle’s approach is person centered and abilities based as well as entirely play and recreation based with a focus on research-based strategies and interventions.

In addition to private practice, Danielle is also a part-time professor at Algonquin College in the post-graduate Recreation Therapy program.

Danielle completed her Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University and is a member in good standing with Therapeutic Recreation Ontario (TRO).
